Ardtrea Real Estate
A township and municipality that has existed for a very long time, as far back as 1836, can be found in the northern reaches of Southern Ontario, at Simcoe County’s northern border. Severn sits a bit to the northwest of Orillia, and boasts a long history involving the Native Chippewa (Ojibway) peoples originally settling this area. In the later part of the 1800s, European settlers mostly overtook the area and began building up Severn until it became what it is today. Severn also underwent a lot of restructuring in 1994 as part of an alteration of the municipal borders of Severn, assimilating small parts of Tay, Medonte, and Orillia.
With lots of prime real estate in the area, investors and homebuyers would be smart for attempting to take advantage of Severn’s ever-expanding properties, as Severn is still very much a new area, there are many vacant lot spaces and some availability of detached homes, bungalows, townhomes, family homes, and even spacious executive homes currently for sale.
If you’re looking to spend the afternoon in the big city (Toronto, for example), you will have a pretty long drive ahead of you, but this is by no means an impossibility. By heading southwest to the Highway 400, you can quite literally get right into Toronto by heading south on said highway. If you want to head even further out into the country for a nice, leisurely trip, then you can go ahead and take the Highway 400 northward, as you can almost get to Sudbury by continuing on the 400 after it turns into the Highway 69. Between the 400 and the 69, you can literally travel almost halfway up and down Ontario as a whole!
When it comes to parks and your daily dosage of greenspace, you will have access to roughly 8 parks in the vicinity, spread out over a short distance so that you can be rest assured that every park you visit will be a different experience every time. Mostly, the parks can play a vital role in the schedule of someone who would love nothing more than to just sit amongst nature and relax to the fullest degree.
When it comes to schools in your area, there are not an abundance, but you will have access to such places as Marchmont Public School and Patrick Fogarty Catholic Secondary School. Therefore, your child (or children) will not be hard-up for a place to have their full education through to graduation.
